IN THE FIELD

SKILL

Our organization has a robust team of archaeologists, anthropologists, certified divers, and wilderness medicine staff from a range of backgrounds and universities across the United States. With experience in submerged sub-surface data collection, geophysical survey, GIS predictive modeling, and emergency wilderness rescue operations, our team conducts research and wilderness experiences in remote areas of the Southeastern US coastline, Pacific, and Arctic.

EXPERTISE

Combining a breadth of knowledge from submerged prehistoric archaeological and marine paleontological identification, to specializations in historic maritime trade routes and 19th century cultural material, we are able to collect more data about not only the people that once occupied these sites, but the prehistoric species’ that may have left traces of their past activity as well. This provides key insights to how past sites developed and changed over time in the archaeological record and the geologic time scale.

ENGINEERING

Utilizing the latest acoustic dual-beam sonar equipment and GLONASS geospatial data collection in Python to keep coding sharp on the fly, our organization works with the agility of modern aquatic and submerged technology in the field. Our team specializes in sonar and magnetic geophysical survey, submerged artifact recovery, and submerged site identification with GIS.

WILDERNESS MEDICINE

All of our projects put safety at the forefront of our operations. By integrating specialized wilderness emergency medical training, and incorporating professionally certified Wilderness First Responders and Wilderness Survival Instructors into all of our fieldwork, we rise above the standard of safety in the field. Our staff is committed to the practicality of emergency medicine training in archaeological and paleontological fieldwork.
